When divorced businessman Holden, frustrated with women and unwilling to associate with anyone, discovers the pretty, outgoing free spirit Lenz sleeping on his doorstep one morning, he doesn't report her to the police; he has an affair with her. The film details their relationship and Holden's feelings and morals about whether or not he should stay in this relationship. This marks the first film in which Eastwood directs but does not star.
Listen as Clint Eastwood speaks candidly about his thoughts on this film.
