The history of the Four Seasons is re-enacted with a focus on its lead singer - Frankie Valli. Frankie Valli begins his singing career in Jersey clubs with local friends. Later the quartet of Frankie Valli (lead vocal, drums), Thomas DeVito (vocal, guitar), Henry Majewski (vocal, guitar) and Nicolas DeVito forms the Four Lovers. The Four Lovers only achieve one top 100 hit called "You're the Apple of My Eye". In 1960, Frankie Valli's unique voice and Bob Gaudio's songwriting bring the newly formed Four Seasons permanent fame. The Four Seasons has made it! but Frankie Valli must struggle against financial, group, and family problems.
