1930 Born Clinton Eastwood Jr., May 31st, 1930, to Ruth and Clinton Eastwood in San Francisco, California. 1931 The Eastwood's relocate many times along the West coast during the next decade including living in Spokane Washington on for a year. 1935 Clint Eastwood's sister, Jeanne, is born around this time. 1941 Father takes him to see the film Yankee Doodle Dandy, among others, and is exposed to the works of Gary Cooper and James Cagney (which were to become major influences in Clint's career). 1943 Teaches himself to write music and play the piano. Always tall for his age, at 13 he is standing 6 feet. 1944 Makes acting debut in a Junior High School play. 1946 Goes to see jazz great Charlie "Bird" Parker perform for the first time (he would later direct a film about the musician's life entitled Bird). 1948 Graduates from High School in Oakland, California. 1949 Works several odd jobs including one at a lumber yard in Oregon and one as a life guard in Washington.
